Conservation Workshop

Learn about how to save your family heirlooms from this first Conservation Workshop provided by the Washington Conservation Guild in partnership with The Army Historical Foundation at the National Museum of the United States Army on February 21, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Registration for members of the guild is free, but $10 for non-members.

Program Schedule:

10:30 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. -"Preservation of Heirlooms and Family Archives" presentation

10:50 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Q&A 

11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Bring-Your-Object Consultation Sessions with Guild Conservators. Each consultation will be no more than 20 minutes each to accommodate as many participants as possible and available time slots will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Objects that appear on the Museum's Prohibited Items list or are damaged by mold are not permitted into the building. For any prohibited item, please bring photographs for consultation.

Conservation Workshop

Members of the Washington Conservation Guild may register for a free ticket. Non-members are required to pay a $10 ticket. Object Consultations will be available for sign-up on a first-come-first-serve basis on the day of the event.
